
This image was taken along a familiar path, where an opening in the reeds caught my attention. By lowering my viewpoint, the scene shifted from something ordinary into something more contained and focused.
The reeds frame the darker space beyond, while the shallow depth of field allows the foreground and background to fall softly out of focus. That blur helped separate the layers in the scene, keeping the attention on the narrow opening and the light around it.
It is a simple subject, but the combination of perspective and bokeh gave the moment a quiet sense of depth that I would have missed from a standing position.
