Day 68 – Testing Vintage Glass

·

·

After picking up a few vintage lenses, I couldn’t resist taking them out for a quick test.

These small blossoms turned out to be the perfect subject. The lens creates a very narrow plane of focus, while the background melts away into soft shapes and light.

It is always interesting to see how older lenses render a scene. They are often less “perfect” than modern lenses, but that character is exactly what makes them fun to experiment with.
